Overview

Performs as data & integration engineer and performs hands-on development to create, enhance and maintain data solutions that ensure seamless integration and flow of data across our data ecosystem. Responsible for designing and developing data ingestion and processing/transformation frameworks that provide insights into raw data and manage diverse sources of data seamlessly. The SSIS Developer will reverse engineer existing integrations to understand the data architecture and perform detailed source data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to collect requirements and translate them into database models and data flows.
  • Design and develop advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, scripts, and help fine tune databases.
  • Rewrite integrations, written with Scribe Insights, to SSIS.
  • Examine SQL stored procedures and determine areas of code improvement following SQL best practices.
  • Assess various business needs and requirements for a consistent and flexible set of data rules and standards.
  • Translate data and technology requirements into our ETL architecture.
  • Work with standard ETL tools and techniques, sourcing, maintaining, and updating data, data warehousing, data cleansing, and other analytical techniques required for data usage.
  • Deploy data processing jobs to production, configure and schedule data pipeline.
  • Ensure solutions exhibits high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment.
  • Clearly document dataflow, ETL pipelines.
  • Perform unit testing on solutions.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience optimizing ETL pipelines and query performance tuning with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Demonstrated ability to write ad-hoc queries, stored procedures, user-defined functions, views, and indexes.
  • Expertise with DDL and DML statements, RDBMSs, and data dictionaries.
  • Performance tuning complex queries, stored procedures and indexing strategies.
  • Advanced data analysis, validation, and processing skills.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Technical aptitude and experience learning new technologies and understanding relevant cloud trend.
  • Familiarity with Scribe Insights preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics (both on-premises and 365 versions) preferred.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
  • Hands-on experience in DevOps, automation, and deploying packages between different environments a plus.
